The Civil Appellate High Court of Rathnapura is vested with authority to hear and determine appeals and revisions arising from interlocutory orders and final judgments delivered by District Courts within the province, with further appeal lying solely to the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka[cite: 8].

Final Appeals, Applications for Leave to Appeal, Appeals notwithstanding lapse of time, and Acceleration cases arising from decisions of subordinate District Courts[cite: 8].

Revisionary Jurisdiction

Applications in Revision against interlocutory and final orders delivered by District Courts to correct errors of law or procedural injustice[cite: 8].
